New Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen ii 9mm with Modifications #6284247 05/03/16 12:38 AM OP Veteran Tracker Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: two,191 I recently purchased a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen 2 that accepts Glock Magazines. ($429.00) The Gen 2 has several improvements over the Gen 1. The polymer encasement has been overhauled, trimmed, and textured. Railed surfaces accept been added on the top and bottom of the handguard equally well as Thousand-lock slots on the sides. The front sight is metal (previously plastic) and adjustable besides as hands removable. The stock has 3 length adjustments.The rifle unmodified weighs 4.25 lbs. I fabricated several modifications: ane) Tacticool Buffer Cylinder-Reduce felt recoil up to xxx% $9.50 2) Tacticool Bolt Tube Cover- Allows for wider and softer mount against chin. $fourteen.25 3) Red Lion Precision Forend- This is machined forend that indexes and then that you can mount scopes and grips and withal fold the burglarize. $149.00 4) Two total length picatinny rails. $62.00 4) Magpul forgrip. $xxx.00 The modifications make this gun experience much more solid than stock. The burglarize length is 28 inches open and xv inches folded. With modifications it weighs just under 6 lbs. I accept experienced no issues shooting 100 rounds of diverse 9mm ammo. Open sight accuracy is good. I can hit six inch steel targets at 75 yards easily. I have yet to install an optic. The burglarize disassembles hands for cleaning and lubing. This rifle is very fun to shoot! I've considered replacing my gen 1 with a gen two for the front sight alone. I just haven't seen a gen ii with the Sig mag configuration yet.
